FAQ
Phantom Power is a dynamic events space, music and comedy venue, and microbrewery. In its first life, the building was a movie theatre showing mostly art, foreign, and Oscar nominated films. When originally built in 1972, it was known as The Skinni-Mini and then later called Point of View Cinema (1980-2013). The building has been updated with some new construction - including a second floor mezzanine and bar - but the original sloped floor of the theatre remains so you can have the best view from anywhere in the house!

We opened the first week of March in 2020 with excitement and anticipation but promptly shut down for the COVID-19 Pandemic. Since reopening, we've steadily ramped up our schedule, bringing in your favorite and fresh new acts! Our intimate space has made us a top destination to see a live show in Central PA.
"[Phantom Power] is tucked away on a wooded lot down a short Frederick Street driveway, there’s barbecue outside and terrific sound inside, as well as a sweet micro-Union Transfer layout with a wraparound balcony, bright lights, and great sight lines all around. 10/10, would return." - John Vettese at WXPN

Is the Venue
Wheelchair-Accesible?
Yes, we are wheelchair accessible. Since the building used to be a movie theatre, the main floor has a slight incline, but it levels out close to the stage where you'll also have the best view. If you require any other accommodations, please reach out in advance or speak to one of our staff members when you arrive.
Can we bring our own food?

If you are still hungry check out our neighbors Koshary Station, Jack's, or Conrad's Deli to name a few.

While we do not discourage outside food, keep in mind that space to dine is limited- the busier the event, the less space there will be.
Is smoking permitted?
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building at any point.
If you wish to smoke or vape please use the designated outdoor area.
Is tailgating permitted?
No. We do not allow outside beverages on site, and alcohol may not be consumed in the parking lot at any time.
